This past weekend the Jesuit High School Masque club presented its spring production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.  The play is based off of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet including many underlying references to the play.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern is categorized as a tragic comedy based upon the death of the two main characters who carry the title of the play.  Throughout the play, the characters of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern watch some events unfold which are taken from Hamlet and can not comprehend why they are not included, almost as if they are watching from the outside.

Overall it is a quick paced play with a humorous twist which can pull in even some of the worst critics.
